Role: Prototyper | 2012 → 2013

Responsibilities:

Design, prototyping, and definition of user flows for a consumer-facing document-management application focused on simplifying how users track, organize, and access their important documents.

Context:

The goal was to design and prototype a cloud-based document-management solution that would allow users to store, organize, and quickly retrieve their essential documents, offering a smoother, more intuitive alternative to traditional digital storage tools.

Approach

Discovery

Before development, user workshops were conducted to understand:

  • How and why users currently keep track of their documents

  • What slows them down or creates frustration

  • The key moments where guidance or reminders are needed

  • Real-world usage patterns and context of use

These insights helped map existing journeys and define the personas.

Sketch & Flows

Based on the research, several sketches were produced to:

  • Explore different layout and interaction ideas

  • Envision how document tracking could fit seamlessly into everyday routines

  • Push the concept beyond simple storage into real assistance

  • Consider features such as reminders, alerts, and notifications

Users were clear: they wanted more than a digital “storage box.” They wanted a tool that supported their lifestyle and administrative responsibilities.

Wireframes

Wireframes were then created to:

  • Represent the core screens and the overall workflow

  • Validate the steps of the user journey

  • Gather early feedback

  • Ensure the structure matched the identified use cases

This phase clarified key screens, aligned the team on priorities, and established a strong foundation for visual design.
