Role: Senior UX/UI Designer | 2016 → 2017

Apple UK | Learning Platform
Responsibilities:
End-to-end design and development of the learning platform, including co-design workshops, user-journey definition, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, functional prototypes, and front-end implementation in collaboration with the back-end team.
Context:
The project aimed to create a learning platform providing all employees with high-quality onboarding on design and accessibility topics. The interface needed to be clear and modern, while incorporating gamification mechanics to increase engagement and motivation.
Approach
Discovery & Concept
Before development began, I conducted exploratory work with users and business owners to understand their needs, expectations, and the pain points of the current experience.
Based on these insights, we defined the user journeys and developed several early concepts to validate the solution’s direction and guide the product vision.

Wireframes
Rapid wireframes and clickable prototypes were created in Balsamiq to visualize workflows and streamline discussions with the team.
These early iterations made it possible to gather quick feedback, refine the journeys, and lock in the platform structure before moving into final design.

Final Designs
Apple required a minimalist, content-first interface—an approach that guided the visual language, design principles, and interaction patterns.
The goal was to deliver a clean, elegant experience aligned with the brand’s quality standards, highlighting both the educational content and the gamification mechanics designed to boost engagement.

Front-end Development
Once the designs were approved, I developed the interface using HTML5, SCSS, and JavaScript (React).
Close collaboration with the back-end team in an agile environment ensured smooth integration, fast iteration cycles, and efficient resolution of implementation challenges.
